Washington D.C. Temple
The Washington D.C. Temple is a prominent house of worship for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located in Kensington, Maryland. Completed in 1974, it is the largest temple of the church in the eastern United States and features a striking design with six spires and a golden statue of the angel Moroni on top.
The temple serves as a sacred space for religious ceremonies, including marriages and baptisms for the dead. It is surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and is open to the public during specific open house events, allowing visitors to learn more about its significance and the beliefs of the church.
