Warren Jeffs
Warren Jeffs is a former leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS), a religious group that practices polygamy. He was born on December 3, 1955, in Sacramento, California, and became the president of the FLDS in 2002 after the death of his father, Rulon Jeffs. Under his leadership, the church faced scrutiny for its controversial practices.
In 2006, Warren Jeffs was placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list for his involvement in arranging underage marriages. He was arrested in 2006 and later convicted of multiple charges, including sexual assault of a child. Jeffs is currently serving a life sentence in prison.
