Waray Language
Waray is an Austronesian language primarily spoken in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines. It is the native language of the Waray people, who inhabit the islands of Samar and Leyte. With over 3 million speakers, it is one of the major languages in the country.
The language has its own distinct grammar and vocabulary, influenced by Spanish due to the colonial history of the Philippines. Waray is used in everyday communication, local media, and literature, contributing to the cultural identity of its speakers.
