Walter Runeberg
Walter Runeberg was a Finnish sculptor born on November 8, 1838, in Porvoo, Finland. He is best known for his neoclassical style and his ability to capture the human form in his sculptures. Runeberg studied in Helsinki and later in Paris, where he was influenced by the artistic movements of his time.
One of his most famous works is the statue of Johan Ludvig Runeberg, his father, who was a prominent Finnish poet. Walter Runeberg's contributions to Finnish art are significant, and his works can be found in various public spaces and museums across Finland. He passed away on March 24, 1920.
