Walter Knott
Walter Knott was an American farmer and businessman, best known for founding Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. He started by growing and selling berries, particularly the famous boysenberry, which he developed in the 1930s. His berry farm eventually expanded into a popular amusement park, featuring rides, attractions, and a replica of a ghost town.
In addition to his contributions to the amusement industry, Knott was also a pioneer in the development of themed dining experiences. He opened the Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant in 1934, which became famous for its fried chicken and homemade biscuits, further enhancing the appeal of his berry farm.
