Wallachian Principality
The Wallachian Principality was a historical region located in present-day Romania. It emerged in the 14th century and became known for its strategic position between the Ottoman Empire and Hungary. The principality played a significant role in the political and cultural development of the area, with its capital at Târgoviște.
Wallachia was ruled by a series of princes, including notable figures like Vlad the Impaler, who is often associated with the Dracula legend. The principality eventually united with Moldavia and Transylvania to form modern Romania in the 19th century, marking the end of its independent rule.
