WBBF
The WBBF, or World Bodybuilding Federation, was a professional bodybuilding organization founded in 1990 by Vince McMahon, the chairman of WWE. It aimed to promote bodybuilding as a mainstream sport and featured a unique approach to competitions, emphasizing entertainment and showmanship alongside traditional bodybuilding criteria.
The WBBF held its first competition in 1991 and gained attention for its high production values and celebrity involvement. However, it struggled to maintain a stable roster of athletes and faced competition from other organizations like the IFBB. Ultimately, the WBBF ceased operations in 1992, marking a brief but notable chapter in bodybuilding history.
