WASP-104
WASP-104 is an exoplanet located approximately 450 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Phoenix. It is classified as a hot Jupiter, which means it is a gas giant similar in size to Jupiter but orbits very close to its host star, resulting in high surface temperatures.
The planet was discovered using the Transit Method, where astronomers observe the dimming of a star's light as a planet passes in front of it. WASP-104 has a short orbital period of about 1.75 days, making it one of the many intriguing exoplanets studied by scientists to understand planetary systems beyond our own.
