Vultee Aircraft, Inc.
Vultee Aircraft, Inc. was an American aircraft manufacturer founded in 1939 by Vultee and Lockheed. The company specialized in producing military aircraft during World War II, including the well-known Vultee Vengeance dive bomber.
After the war, Vultee shifted focus to civilian aircraft but faced financial difficulties. In 1947, the company was acquired by Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation, which later became part of General Dynamics. Vultee Aircraft, Inc. played a significant role in the development of aviation technology during its operational years.
