Vostok 5
Vostok 5 was a Soviet space mission launched on June 14, 1963. It was part of the Vostok program and aimed to conduct human spaceflight. The spacecraft carried cosmonaut Valery Bykovsky, who orbited the Earth 81 times over a mission duration of nearly five days, setting a record for the longest spaceflight at that time.
During the mission, Bykovsky conducted scientific experiments and observed the effects of space travel on the human body. Vostok 5 successfully landed on June 19, 1963, contributing valuable data to the ongoing exploration of space and enhancing the Soviet Union's achievements in the Space Race.
