Voivodeship
A voivodeship is an administrative region in Poland, similar to a province or state in other countries. There are 16 voivodeships in Poland, each governed by a voivode, who is appointed by the central government. These regions play a crucial role in local governance, economic development, and cultural identity.
Each voivodeship has its own capital city, which serves as the administrative center. For example, the capital of the Masovian Voivodeship is Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Voivodeships are further divided into smaller units called counties and communes, facilitating local administration and public services.
