Vladislav III
Vladislav III, also known as Vladislav of Varna, was a Polish king and Hungarian monarch who reigned from 1434 until his death in 1444. He was born in 1424 and became king at a young age. Vladislav is best known for his role in the Battle of Varna, where he led a Christian coalition against the Ottoman Empire.
His reign was marked by efforts to strengthen the Polish-Lithuanian union and defend against Ottoman expansion in Europe. Vladislav III died in battle at Varna, and his death had significant implications for the region, leading to a power vacuum and further conflicts in Eastern Europe.
