Vitaly Sevastyanov
Vitaly Sevastyanov was a prominent Soviet cosmonaut born on June 8, 1935. He flew on two space missions, including the Soyuz 9 in 1970, where he spent nearly 18 days in space, setting a record for the longest spaceflight at that time. Sevastyanov was also involved in various scientific and engineering projects related to space exploration.
In addition to his space missions, Sevastyanov held significant positions within the Soviet space program and contributed to the development of future spacecraft. He was awarded several honors for his contributions to space science, including the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
