Viserys Targaryen is a character from the fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin and its television adaptation, Game of Thrones. He is the younger brother of Daenerys Targaryen and a member of the exiled Targaryen family, which once ruled the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. Viserys is obsessed with reclaiming the Iron Throne and often displays arrogance and entitlement. Throughout the series, Viserys's character is marked by his ambition and cruelty.
