Vinayak Chaturthi
Vinayak Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated to honor Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed god of wisdom and prosperity. It usually falls in August or September, marking the beginning of the festival season in India. Devotees bring home clay idols of Ganesha, decorate them, and offer prayers, sweets, and flowers.
The festival lasts for ten days, culminating in the immersion of the idols in water, symbolizing the return of Ganesha to his celestial abode. This ritual is accompanied by music, dance, and community gatherings, fostering a spirit of unity and devotion among participants.
