Vilhelms Purvītis
Vilhelms Purvītis was a prominent Latvian painter, born on February 11, 1872, in Riga. He is best known for his landscape paintings that capture the beauty of the Latvian countryside. Purvītis played a significant role in the development of Latvian art and was a founding member of the Latvian Artists' Union.
