Vijender Singh is an Indian professional boxer and a former amateur boxer. Born on October 29, 1985, in Bhiwani, Haryana, he gained fame after winning a bronze medal in the middleweight category at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. This achievement made him the first Indian boxer to win an Olympic medal. After his successful amateur career, Vijender turned professional in 2015.
