Vijaya Dashami
Vijaya Dashami, also known as Dussehra, is a significant Hindu festival celebrated in India and other countries. It marks the end of Navaratri, a nine-night festival dedicated to the worship of the goddess Durga. The day symbolizes the victory of good over evil, commemorating the triumph of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana in the epic Ramayana.
On this day, people participate in various rituals, including the immersion of Durga idols and the burning of effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna, and Meghnath. Vijaya Dashami is also a time for family gatherings, feasting, and cultural performances, celebrating the spirit of victory and renewal.
