Vietnamese Dong
The Vietnamese Dong (VND) is the official currency of Vietnam. It is issued and regulated by the State Bank of Vietnam. The currency symbol is "₫," and it is subdivided into smaller units called "hao" and "xu," although these are no longer in common use.
The Vietnamese Dong has undergone several redenominations since its introduction in 3 different forms since 1946. As of 2023, the exchange rate fluctuates against major currencies like the US Dollar and the Euro, reflecting the country's economic conditions and inflation rates.
