Vidhan Sabha
The Vidhan Sabha is the lower house of the state legislature in India. It plays a crucial role in the legislative process, where elected representatives discuss and pass laws related to state governance. Each state in India has its own Vidhan Sabha, which is responsible for addressing local issues and concerns.
Members of the Vidhan Sabha are elected by the public through direct elections, and the house is headed by a Speaker. The Vidhan Sabha works alongside the upper house, known as the Vidhan Parishad, in states that have a bicameral legislature. Together, they ensure effective governance at the state level.
