Video Cassette
A video cassette is a rectangular plastic case that contains magnetic tape used for recording and playing back video and audio. It was a popular format for home entertainment from the late 1970s until the early 2000s. The most common type of video cassette is the VHS (Video Home System), which allowed users to watch movies and record television shows.
To use a video cassette, a VCR (Video Cassette Recorder) is required. The VCR reads the magnetic tape inside the cassette, enabling playback of the recorded content. Although digital formats have largely replaced video cassettes, they remain a nostalgic symbol of home video culture.
