Victor Matfield
Victor Matfield is a retired South African rugby player, widely regarded as one of the best locks in the history of the sport. Born on 11 May 1977, he played for the Springboks, South Africa's national team, and was known for his exceptional line-out skills and tactical awareness. Matfield earned over 120 caps for the Springboks and was a key player in their 2007 Rugby World Cup victory.
In addition to his international success, Matfield had a notable club career, primarily with the Blue Bulls in the Currie Cup and Super Rugby. He was recognized for his leadership qualities, serving as captain for both his club and country at various times. After retiring from professional rugby, Matfield transitioned into coaching and remains involved in the sport.
