Vickers Viscount
The Vickers Viscount is a British turboprop airliner that first flew in 1948. It was designed by Vickers-Armstrongs and became one of the first commercial aircraft to use turboprop engines, which provided better fuel efficiency and performance compared to piston engines. The Viscount could carry around 50 to 70 passengers and was popular among airlines for short to medium-haul routes.
Over its production run, which lasted until 1963, more than 400 units of the Viscount were built. It served various airlines worldwide and was known for its reliability and comfort. The aircraft played a significant role in the development of modern air travel.
