Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha
Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was a Thai businessman and the founder of King Power, a duty-free retail company. He gained international recognition as the owner of Leicester City Football Club, which he purchased in 2010. Under his leadership, the club achieved a historic victory by winning the Premier League title in the 2015-2016 season, a remarkable feat for a team that had been considered underdogs.
Tragically, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha passed away in a helicopter crash in October 2018, along with four others. His legacy continues through the impact he made on both the football community and the local economy in Leicester, where he was known for his philanthropy and support of various charitable initiatives.
