Vice President of the United States
The Vice President of the United States is the second-highest executive officer in the country, directly below the President. This position is established by the U.S. Constitution and serves primarily to support the President in their duties. The Vice President also assumes the presidency if the President is unable to fulfill their responsibilities due to death, resignation, or removal.
In addition to their role in the executive branch, the Vice President serves as the President of the Senate. In this capacity, they can cast a tie-breaking vote when the Senate is evenly divided. The Vice President often represents the administration in various official functions and diplomatic engagements.
