Vianok (Wreath)
A Vianok, or wreath, is a traditional floral crown often worn by women in various cultures, particularly in Eastern Europe. It is typically made from fresh flowers, leaves, and sometimes herbs, symbolizing beauty, fertility, and the connection to nature. Vianoks are commonly used in celebrations, festivals, and rituals, representing the changing seasons and the cycle of life.
In Ukrainian culture, the Vianok holds significant importance, especially during the Ivan Kupala festival, where young women wear them to celebrate summer and the beauty of nature. The wreath is often associated with love and is believed to bring good fortune to the wearer.
