Veterans Stadium
Veterans Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1971, it served as the home for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL) and the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). The stadium was known for its distinctive design and was a popular venue for various events, including concerts and college football games.
The stadium was closed in 2003 and subsequently demolished in 2004. It was replaced by Lincoln Financial Field for the Eagles and Citizens Bank Park for the Phillies. Veterans Stadium was notable for its artificial turf and unique fan experiences during its operational years.
