Vatican II Documents
The Vatican II Documents are a collection of texts produced during the Second Vatican Council, which took place from 1962 to 1965. This ecumenical council, convened by Pope John XXIII, aimed to address relations between the Catholic Church and the modern world. The documents cover various topics, including liturgy, ecumenism, and the role of the laity.
There are sixteen key documents, including four constitutions, nine decrees, and three declarations. Notable among them are the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy and the Declaration on Religious Freedom. These texts have significantly influenced the Church's practices and its engagement with contemporary society.
