Vamana
Vamana is a significant figure in Hindu mythology, known as the fifth avatar of the god Vishnu. He is depicted as a dwarf Brahmin who appeared to restore cosmic order. Vamana approached the demon king Bali during a sacrifice and requested three paces of land, which he then expanded to cover the entire universe.
In his transformation, Vamana grew to immense size, taking three steps that encompassed the heavens, earth, and the underworld. This act symbolized the triumph of good over evil and the importance of humility. Vamana's story is celebrated during the festival of Onam in the Indian state of Kerala.
