VOR station
A VOR station, or VHF Omnidirectional Range station, is a type of radio navigation system used by aircraft. It transmits a signal that allows pilots to determine their position and stay on course. The VOR system operates in the VHF frequency range and provides accurate directional information to help with navigation.
VOR stations are often part of a larger network of navigation aids, including NDBs (Non-Directional Beacons) and ILS (Instrument Landing System). Pilots use VOR signals in conjunction with their aircraft's VOR receivers to navigate along established airways and approach procedures safely.
