V.League 2 is the second tier of professional football in Vietnam. It features clubs that compete for promotion to the top division, V.League 1. The league was established to enhance the development of football in the country and provide a platform for emerging talent. The season typically runs from March to October, with teams playing each other in a round-robin format. The top teams at the end of the season have the chance to move up to V.League 1, while the lower-ranked teams may face relegation to the third tier, known as Vietnamese Third Division.
