Vértigo
"Vértigo" is a psychological thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock, released in 1958. The story follows a retired San Francisco police detective, John "Scottie" Ferguson, who suffers from acrophobia, an extreme fear of heights. He is hired to follow a woman, Madeleine Elster, who is believed to be possessed by a spirit. As he investigates, he becomes romantically obsessed with her.
The film explores themes of obsession, identity, and the nature of reality. Its innovative cinematography, particularly the use of the "dolly zoom" effect to convey Scottie's vertigo, has made it a landmark in cinema. "Vértigo" is often regarded as one of the greatest films of all time.
