V/STOL jets
V/STOL jets, or Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing jets, are aircraft designed to take off and land vertically or on short runways. This capability allows them to operate in areas where traditional jets cannot, making them valuable for military and civilian applications.
These jets use specialized technology, such as rotating engines or adjustable wings, to achieve their unique flight characteristics. Notable examples include the Harrier Jump Jet and the F-35B Lightning II, which can perform vertical landings and takeoffs, enhancing their versatility in various operational environments.
