Uygurs
The Uygurs are a Turkic ethnic group primarily found in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. They have a rich cultural heritage, including their own language, Uygur, which is written in a modified Arabic script. The Uygurs are predominantly Muslim and have a unique blend of traditions influenced by their history and the surrounding regions.
Historically, the Uygurs were known for their contributions to trade along the Silk Road, which connected China to the Mediterranean. Today, they face various social and political challenges, including issues related to cultural preservation and human rights within China.
