Univac I
The Univac I was one of the first commercially available computers, developed in the early 1950s by J. Presper Eckert and John Mauchly. It was designed for business and government applications, featuring a magnetic tape storage system and the ability to perform complex calculations.
Introduced in 1951, the Univac I marked a significant milestone in computing history. It was capable of processing data at a speed of about 1,000 instructions per second, making it a powerful tool for its time. Its success helped pave the way for future developments in computer technology.
