Unity Mitford
Unity Mitford was a British socialite born on August 8, 1914, into the prominent Mitford family. She is best known for her close association with Adolf Hitler and her fervent support of the Nazi regime during the 1930s. Unity was known for her striking personality and controversial views, which often drew public attention.
Her life took a dramatic turn during World War II when she attempted suicide in 1940 after Britain declared war on Germany. Surviving the attempt, she spent the remainder of the war in relative obscurity. Unity Mitford died on May 28, 1948, from complications related to her earlier injuries.
