United States Presidential Elections
The United States Presidential Elections occur every four years, where citizens vote to elect the President and Vice President. The process begins with primary elections, where political parties select their candidates. The main election takes place on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
Candidates campaign across the country to gain support, and voters cast their ballots. The election uses an Electoral College system, where each state has a certain number of electors based on its population. A candidate needs a majority of electoral votes to win the presidency, which is currently set at 270 out of 538.
