United States Midterm Elections
The United States Midterm Elections occur every four years, halfway through a president's term. During these elections, voters choose members of Congress, including all 435 representatives in the House of Representatives and about one-third of the 100 Senate seats. These elections are crucial as they can shift the balance of power in the federal government.
Midterm elections also include various state and local positions, such as governors and state legislators. Voter turnout is typically lower than in presidential elections, but the outcomes can significantly impact national policies and the direction of the country for the following years.
