United States Interagency Council on Homelessness
The United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) is a federal agency established in 1987. Its primary mission is to coordinate the federal response to homelessness and ensure that all Americans have access to safe and affordable housing. USICH works with various federal agencies, state and local governments, and non-profit organizations to develop strategies and policies aimed at preventing and ending homelessness.
USICH is responsible for implementing the federal strategic plan known as "Home, Together," which focuses on collaboration and data-driven solutions. The council also provides resources, guidance, and support to communities across the country to help them address homelessness effectively.
