United States House of Representatives
The United States House of Representatives is one of the two chambers of the United States Congress, the other being the Senate. It is responsible for making and passing federal laws. The House consists of 435 members, known as Representatives, who are elected to serve two-year terms. The number of Representatives from each state is based on its population.
Each Representative represents a specific congressional district within their state. The House has several important functions, including initiating revenue bills and impeaching federal officials. The leadership of the House includes the Speaker of the House, who is elected by the members and plays a key role in guiding legislation.
