United States Attorney General
The United States Attorney General is the head of the U.S. Department of Justice and the chief law enforcement officer of the federal government. This position is responsible for overseeing the enforcement of federal laws, representing the United States in legal matters, and advising the President on legal issues. The Attorney General is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.
The Attorney General also plays a key role in shaping national legal policy and ensuring that justice is administered fairly. They oversee federal prosecutors, known as U.S. Attorneys, who handle criminal and civil cases in their respective districts across the country.
