United Religions Initiative
The United Religions Initiative (URI) is a global organization founded in 2000 to promote interfaith cooperation and understanding. It aims to create a peaceful world by fostering dialogue and collaboration among diverse religious and spiritual traditions. URI encourages local groups to address social issues and conflicts through shared values and mutual respect.
URI operates through regional and local networks, known as Cooperation Circles, which bring together individuals from different faiths to work on community projects. By emphasizing common goals and shared humanity, URI seeks to reduce religiously motivated violence and promote harmony among people of various beliefs, including Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and others.
