Union of American Hebrew Congregations
The Union of American Hebrew Congregations (UAHC), now known as the Union for Reform Judaism, is the umbrella organization for Reform Judaism congregations in the United States. Founded in 1873, it aims to support and promote the values and practices of Reform Judaism, providing resources for education, social justice, and community engagement.
The UAHC plays a significant role in fostering a sense of community among its member congregations. It offers programs, leadership training, and advocacy on issues such as civil rights and interfaith dialogue, helping to strengthen the Jewish community and promote its values in broader society.
