Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is an autonomous body in India responsible for conducting various examinations for recruitment to civil services and other government positions. Established in 1926, it plays a crucial role in selecting candidates for prestigious roles in the Indian government, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination, which is one of the most competitive exams in the country. The commission also oversees other exams, such as the Engineering Services Examination and the Combined Defence Services Examination, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process for aspiring candidates.
