The Union Centroamericana de Fútbol, commonly known as UNCAF, is the governing body for soccer in Central America. Founded in 1961, it oversees the organization of regional competitions, including the Copa Centroamericana, which features national teams from Central American countries. UNCAF is responsible for promoting the sport and developing soccer infrastructure in the region. It works closely with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) to enhance the quality of the game and support member associations.
