Undocumented Students
Undocumented students are individuals who do not have legal immigration status in a country where they reside, often having arrived as children or young adults. They may have grown up in that country and attended local schools, but their lack of legal status can create barriers to higher education and employment opportunities.
In the United States, many undocumented students face challenges such as ineligibility for federal financial aid and state tuition benefits. Some states have enacted laws allowing these students to pay in-state tuition rates at public colleges and universities, while others have restrictions that limit their access to education and resources.
