Umpqua Valley Wine Region
The Umpqua Valley Wine Region is located in southern Oregon, known for its diverse climate and rich soil, which create ideal conditions for grape growing. This region features a variety of microclimates, allowing for the cultivation of numerous grape varieties, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah.
Established as an American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 2001, the Umpqua Valley is home to over 30 wineries and vineyards. The region's picturesque landscapes, with rolling hills and river valleys, attract wine enthusiasts and tourists, making it a popular destination for wine tasting and exploration.
