USS Texas
The USS Texas (BB-35) is a battleship that was commissioned into the United States Navy in 1914. It was the first battleship to be equipped with anti-aircraft guns and served in both World War I and World War II. The ship is notable for its role in the D-Day invasion during World War II, providing naval gunfire support for Allied forces.
After being decommissioned in 1948, the USS Texas was preserved as a museum ship and is currently located in La Porte, Texas. It is the last remaining dreadnought battleship and serves as a memorial to those who served in the U.S. Navy.
