USS Saratoga
The USS Saratoga (CV-60) was an aircraft carrier of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1956. It was the last conventional aircraft carrier built for the Navy and served during the Cold War, participating in various operations and exercises. The ship was named after the Battle of Saratoga, a pivotal battle in the American Revolutionary War.
The carrier was equipped with a flight deck that allowed it to launch and recover various aircraft, including fighter jets and bombers. USS Saratoga was decommissioned in 1994 and later scrapped, marking the end of its nearly four-decade service.
