USS S-46
The USS S-46 was a United States Navy submarine, part of the S-class fleet. Launched on March 1, 1941, it was designed for coastal defense and reconnaissance missions during World War II. The submarine was equipped with torpedoes and had a displacement of around 1,200 tons when submerged.
Throughout its service, the USS S-46 conducted various training exercises and operations in the Pacific Theater. It was ultimately decommissioned on June 30, 1945, and later sold for scrap in 1946. The submarine played a role in the development of underwater warfare tactics during its operational years.
